Parent Coordinator Corner » Welcome!

Welcome!

Dear Families:

Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year! I hope all the families were able to spend some time together and enjoy their summer break.

My name is Lisa Juarez, if you are new to our P.S.52 family, I am the Parent Coordinator for our school. My job as parent coordinator is to act as a liaison for all of your questions and concerns regarding your child’s educational needs between you and the school. I will work to inform and involve you in your child’s education. Throughout the course of the year, I will keep in contact with you by email, text messaging, our website, calendars, flyers, and letters about events, and programs available to you. My ultimate goal is to build and maintain an effective partnership between home and our school community.

We encourage all parents to be actively involved with the school community and partner with us in your child’s education. It is important that we as a school community build a trusting relationship with each other. Family engagement is an essential aspect in helping students achieve success. Studies show that parental involvement in a child’s education is one of the most important factors in raising student self-esteem and academic achievement. Moreover, most experts agree that parental involvement should go beyond attendance at teacher conferences and open house. We realize, however, that each of our families have their own priorities, needs, talents, and time constraints and so we try to provide as many different kinds of opportunities for parental involvement as possible. We have events throughout the school year hosted by the school or our PTA and it is always wonderful to see how excited the children get when parents participate in these activities. Please reach out to me if you are interested in participating in activities or helping out in someway with the PTA. There are many different ways you can help even with limited time to spare.

You may direct any questions, concerns, or ideas to me that you may have. If there are any immediate concerns that you may need assistance with regarding your child’s progress, please feel free to call, email or pass by the main office. All Information is available in many languages and translation assistance is also always available.

If we have not already met please feel free to introduce yourself. I look forward to meeting more of our new school community and reconnecting with our current community in the upcoming weeks.  I look forward to seeing you throughout the school year but, I am certainly available to meet or speak with you at any time. You may contact me at the school at 718-351-5454, on class DoJo or via email at [email protected]

Thank you for your commitment to your child’s future success and I look forward to a great school year!

Warm Regards,

Lisa Juarez
