Welcome to Fourth Grade!

We are looking forward to a happy and productive school year for your child.

To help ensure a wonderful and successful year the following is an overview of our expectations.

Homework Policy:
  •  Homework must be signed by parent/guardian every day. If two homework's are missed, parents will be notified via Dojo.
  • Homework will be typed and printed out for the month of September. Starting in October- we will only print the homework for those students in NIA.
  • Homework will be shared on dojo for everyone daily.
  • Homework will be given each night.  In addition to the homework, students should be practicing their multiplication facts each night.  Students should be able to do the homework on their own.   If your child does not understand the homework, please check or highlight the problem so we can try to work with your child on that topic. Always attempt the work do not just leave it blank.
  •  In addition, there will be a weekly Reading Response to be answered in their blue reading response notebook. There must be text evidence to support the claims made.  Please look at your child's notebook for the correct format.  We set this notebook up together.

Class Dojo:
  • Class Dojo is a school wide policy utilized in grades 3-5.
  • It is a great way to communicate between parent and teacher on an individual basis
Class broadcasts will also be sent through Dojo with reminders of important events as well as a picture of the homework daily

Class Business:
  • If your child is absent, please send in a note on your child’s return to school.  The note should include 1) Day(s) and date(s) of absence, 2) reason for the absence.

  • There will be times when money must be brought into school.  We would ask that the money be placed in an envelope.  Seal the envelope, and on the front, place the following information: 1) Child’s name, 2) Class #, 3) amount of money enclosed and 4) what the money is for.  This will help direct the money to the proper place.

Music- Mr. Savage
Social Studies- Ms. DiBella
